About

I'm originally from Vermont, where winters are reliably subzero. Moving to Japan was, among other things, a climate upgrade. These days I'm on a quest to summit the 100 Famous Mountains of Japan. My career has been focused on software, building on a two decade track record across product, engineering, technical sales, leadership, and strategic customer success inside of companies like Toyota, Bloomberg, OutSystems, Dassault Systèmes, and GitHub.

My passion for building worlds started early, inspired by Mortal Kombat and the QBASIC forums of Tsugumo's Lair. During high school in the Japanese countryside, I developed Aspereta—a 2D MMORPG built using VB6 and DirectX 7 that eventually evolved into Illutia. Today, I continue that creative legacy through "The Dream Forge" with Yugen Saga, a modern 2D MMORPG reimagined with a C# server and Phaser 3 client.
